Barbie's house

We had a family surprise party for Kymbal Jane! It all started at the beginning of January when Kymbal's Grandpa Chris made the house. A week or two later we went to their house to paint and carpet the house. We snuck the house into my parents bedroom and went to work. When we got home Pam and I started the search for Barbie furniture. I couldn't find anything. Grandma Pam, Chanse and I spent an evening going to people's homes to look at what they had on KSL. Still no luck. Finally the night before her birthday we found a man that made and sold furniture out of his Orem home. We bought it and spent the next morning painting, covering and making pillows and mattresses. My mom and I had so much fun! I kept wondering who this was for me or Kymbal. We had a great time getting this gift together. Kymbal has a great time playing everyday!

Large Birthday Party!

I (Stayce) am such a sucker! I know I shouldn't post words like that but it is true. So Kymbal was supposed to only have a surprise family party, but when I broke the news to her that she wasn't going to have a party she was heartbroken. I gave in! I told her she could have 4 friends (does that look like 4?). She begged for more, I stood firm (can you tell). Well kind of firm I told her, when she was practicing her spelling, that she could invite one more person for every word she got correct on her practice test. She got all 4 right. Now she could invite 8 friends. We made up some invitations and printed them of the computer. They printed 6 invitations to a sheet so in order to get 8 invitations we had to print two sheets which gave her 12 invitations. I printed them and sent her off to school to cut them apart and pass them out. I missed a phone call at about 8:30 a.m. it was Kymbal asking if she should pass out 8 invitations or all 12. Well she passed out all 12 and forgot one of her good friends. I caved again she got to invite one more friend. So 13 kids at her party! Wow! They watched "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" so I made her a spaghetti and meatballs cake. It was fun to make and really yummy!

Is Secondary Water Really Worth It?

Chanse spent all day working on our secondary water hook-up. What a fun job! With only five trips to Ace, only two trips above our goal of three. It wouldn't have been so long and hard but we had to trench underneath our sidewalk. That is why we are so muddy. After about 3 hours of trying to get it and being unsuccessful, I stuck my hand in the side below where I am standing, and grabbed the pvc pipe and slowly pulled, pushed and dug it out to the other side. Well we sure hope that all that will be worth it in the end. I'm sure it will be. Special thanks to our friendly neighbors who helped entertain Elizabeth, and my mom and sister for having our other two girls or I am quite sure we would be doing the same thing on monday!

Isn't My "Baby" Beautiful!

Savannah was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Saturday, March 28th 2009. We are so proud of her. Savannah is such a sweet girl. She is always trying to do what is right and trying to make everyone happy. She looked beautiful at her baptism in her white dress. She shared her special day with a lot of special people. She had Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends. We are so lucky to have such great friends and family. Savannah was able to be baptized with one of her good friends Katie Borget. They each got to pick a song, a prayer and a talk Savannah asked her Grandpa Jim to say the prayer and her Uncle Vern to give the talk on the Holy Ghost. They both did a fantastic job. She chose the songs together with Katie. They chose to sing "When I am Baptized" and "Baptism". She was baptized and confirmed by her Dad. We had a great time with family after the baptism at our house. Special Thanks to all those that helped out that day and made this day extra special. WE LOVE YOU SAVANNAH!

Sweet Kymbal

This is Kymbal in her one hundred's day hat! It is a hat that they make for the one hundreth day of school. All the kids get a hat made of newspaper and they all go home and decorate it with one hundred things. Kymbal chose pipe cleaners. Flower shaped pipe cleaners. (My fingers were so sore by the time we got them all on the hat)
But the real reason I am writing today is I wanted to share how cute and sweet my stinker girl has become. Today after a long walk to pass out fliers, Kymbal came home and sat down to watch some cartoons. I came in and told her that I had to go pick up the kids from school. She sat there for a minute and then said "Hey mom what is my ask mom today?" I gave her a few options and headed out the door. I was outside for just a couple of minutes getting ready to go when I realized I forgot a bag that I needed. So I ran back in side to get it to find Kymbal already half way done with her ask mom. She had chosen the hardest one and was working diligently to finish before I got home. She also helped me make our dinner tonight with out any complaining. She is so SWEET!
"When we're helping were Happy!"

Kymbal's Birthday! (a month and a half late)

Grandma Becky came down early for Kymbal's birthday to help with her birthday cake. It is a good thing cause by the time I got the barbie in the cake I'd had enough. The cake took for ever to bake in the silver bowl, then it was way to short for the barbie. So I made another round cake but it was still to short. So I cut a hole in the box that it was sitting on and tried to push her legs through but they kept popping out the bottom of the dress. annoying, but it was worth it to see the look on Kymbal's face when we pulled it out to frost it. She had a fun birthday and I am sure she will always remember decorating her cake with Grandma!

ELIZABETH IS ONE!

Friday was Elizabeth's First birthday!
Where has time gone it seems like just yesturday when I went to my check-up and they said "Head over to the hospital right now we have got to get this baby here. And so her sweet life began. She came on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 5:27 p.m. She weighed 5lbs. 10oz. She was 17 1/2 inches long. She was the 80th baby born in the American Fork Hospital that year. Her first year started out a little rough with a return to the hospital after only 19 days of life. She came down with rsv and had to be life flighted to primary children's in Salt Lake. She stayed there for 6 days. We brought her home on a snowy Sunday. It was one of the most amazing feelings I have ever had. To come home to so many loving and supportive friends. After her hospital stay I was a little perinoid to say the least. But we made it. She was also just a little spoiled Ok alot spoiled all I did all day was hold her. We had a fun summer. We played at the park a lot, went to a few family reunions and went swimming for the first time. She was a little slow at getting the crawling thing done but had no trouble getting the concept of eating solids. She love to eat. Just like her mom. To bad it isn't as cute when I have cellulite! At the end of the summer she got an awful case of hives. That was another long week, but again we made it and again she was a touch spoiled. In August I started babysitting her friend Bruce so she has had a permanent friend since then. She liked playing with her Texas friend, Sophi, during the Christmas break. She loved her doggie book that she got at Christmas from her sisters, but other than that she wasn't to interested. We learned from that and only got her animal stuff for her birthday. She was much happier. She loves dogs, books, food and talking. She has always been so easy, with the exception of the few sickness that she has had. Thank you to all those that came to her birthday to share that special day celebrating the life of our sweet Elizabeth.

Classic Christmas moment

We had a great Christmas this year thanks to all of our great friends and wonderful family. We loved hearing from old friends, playing with all friends and hanging out with family. For Christmas eve we just hung out together. We took Savannah, Kymbal and Elizabeth shopping for the gift that they give each other. Then we went out to lunch together. We basically had the place to ourselves. It was so fun we may have to keep it as a tradition. We got to spend lots of time playing and having fun with the Steed's our friends from Texas. But the funnest part was watching the girls have fun and be grateful for what they got. The classic moment however was Kymbal opening her present from Grandma Pam. We were all excited because we knew what it was, but you have to see Kymbal's reaction, it is truly classic.

new found freedom!

Elizabeth finally started crawling on friday night and now there is no stopping her. We always want our kids to hit the milestones at the right time but this may be one that we should be grateful that it came a little late. Now I have to keep my house picked up at all times. Yeah, as if that happens. She is in Heaven being able to get around and she thinks she rules. Which she pretty much does but we won't tell her. Her two top teeth finally broke through on Thursday and boy are we glad that was a long painful (for her and us) teething process.

Homeade Fries

Kymbal and I decided that we wanted to try to make homeade french fries. It was really fun and HEALTHY! LOL Even Elizabeth enjoyed a fry. They turned out a little soggy any suggestions for nice crispy fries?

Warning Do Not go near Stayce!

We made it through this week! Yeah! You may be wondering why was this week so hard. Well my poor family had to put up with me all week. That was not an easy thing. I just keep hoping and praying that when we get to Heaven we are not judged on the week that we have our friend Tina visit (otherwise known as PMS) Or for that matter the week before and the week after. I don't think we will since obviously we aren't usually this grumpy. I probably shouldn't openly admit this put just incase you happened to cross my path this week you may want to earase the memory and try it again. LOL Sorry for any poor soul who did. Maybe I should call a DR. and get on some medicine for a week every month or maybe I should make it 2 or 3. Well maybe I should just stay on it the whole month. Good thing I have a good family that sticks with me through thick and thin and tina.

Applesauce!

We had a great day today! Chanse took the day off and the girls didn't have school. So we got up and started picking apples from our tree. we still have most of the red apple tree to pick. we went over to our friends the Nelson's and made really yummy apple sauce. We made 32 jars today and only used about a fourth of the apples. The girls were so helpfull, and we couldn't have done it without the Nelson's. They have three boys that came to help pick. We will finish on monday!

Renting a room at the Pediatricians office!

Poor little Elizabeth has had a very rough couple of weeks! Two weeks ago we took her in to the doctors office, and found out she had a sinus infection. Then last week we took her in again cause she wasn't feeling well and she wasn't eating. This time Ear infection! Today she woke up with red dots on the back of her neck. I thought she got mosquito bites at the ward FHE night. So I went to show Chanse and realized the red dots were all over her body! So once again we were on the way to the Peds office. Worried that the rash was infectious the peds office didn't want us to come in so we waited in the car. They came out and determined that it wasn't chicken pox and we could come in. So to make a long story even longer, The Dr. determined that it was a very bad allergic reaction either to her ammoxicilian or the watermelon she had at FHE. We gave her the ammoxicilian in the doctors office so that they could keep an eye on her for a little bit. The receptionist said if you had her all dressed we wouldn't even know anything was wrong with her! She is such a happy little thing! We didn't see any huge changes so we gave her some benedryl and came home. I dooo have to tell you that she is brilliant though. She went poopoo on the toilet today! What a big girl! It is easy to get a completely naked baby on the toilet in time when she gives such obvious signs of potty! (such as red face) Well all this and she is cutting two teeth but she is still happy most of the time!
And after all this, STILL a smile on her face!

Kymbal's first day of school!

Feeling so big for the first day of kindergarten. She was so excited to go to school in her cute new clothes that she got to go pick out with Grandma. She thought she was all that when she got to go with grandma and pick out her own clothes, and she was!
