Barbie's house

We had a family surprise party for Kymbal Jane! It all started at the beginning of January when Kymbal's Grandpa Chris made the house. A week or two later we went to their house to paint and carpet the house. We snuck the house into my parents bedroom and went to work. When we got home Pam and I started the search for Barbie furniture. I couldn't find anything. Grandma Pam, Chanse and I spent an evening going to people's homes to look at what they had on KSL. Still no luck. Finally the night before her birthday we found a man that made and sold furniture out of his Orem home. We bought it and spent the next morning painting, covering and making pillows and mattresses. My mom and I had so much fun! I kept wondering who this was for me or Kymbal. We had a great time getting this gift together. Kymbal has a great time playing everyday!

Large Birthday Party!

I (Stayce) am such a sucker! I know I shouldn't post words like that but it is true. So Kymbal was supposed to only have a surprise family party, but when I broke the news to her that she wasn't going to have a party she was heartbroken. I gave in! I told her she could have 4 friends (does that look like 4?). She begged for more, I stood firm (can you tell). Well kind of firm I told her, when she was practicing her spelling, that she could invite one more person for every word she got correct on her practice test. She got all 4 right. Now she could invite 8 friends. We made up some invitations and printed them of the computer. They printed 6 invitations to a sheet so in order to get 8 invitations we had to print two sheets which gave her 12 invitations. I printed them and sent her off to school to cut them apart and pass them out. I missed a phone call at about 8:30 a.m. it was Kymbal asking if she should pass out 8 invitations or all 12. Well she passed out all 12 and forgot one of her good friends. I caved again she got to invite one more friend. So 13 kids at her party! Wow! They watched "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" so I made her a spaghetti and meatballs cake. It was fun to make and really yummy!

Is Secondary Water Really Worth It?

Chanse spent all day working on our secondary water hook-up. What a fun job! With only five trips to Ace, only two trips above our goal of three. It wouldn't have been so long and hard but we had to trench underneath our sidewalk. That is why we are so muddy. After about 3 hours of trying to get it and being unsuccessful, I stuck my hand in the side below where I am standing, and grabbed the pvc pipe and slowly pulled, pushed and dug it out to the other side. Well we sure hope that all that will be worth it in the end. I'm sure it will be. Special thanks to our friendly neighbors who helped entertain Elizabeth, and my mom and sister for having our other two girls or I am quite sure we would be doing the same thing on monday!

Isn't My "Baby" Beautiful!

Savannah was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Saturday, March 28th 2009. We are so proud of her. Savannah is such a sweet girl. She is always trying to do what is right and trying to make everyone happy. She looked beautiful at her baptism in her white dress. She shared her special day with a lot of special people. She had Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends. We are so lucky to have such great friends and family. Savannah was able to be baptized with one of her good friends Katie Borget. They each got to pick a song, a prayer and a talk Savannah asked her Grandpa Jim to say the prayer and her Uncle Vern to give the talk on the Holy Ghost. They both did a fantastic job. She chose the songs together with Katie. They chose to sing "When I am Baptized" and "Baptism". She was baptized and confirmed by her Dad. We had a great time with family after the baptism at our house. Special Thanks to all those that helped out that day and made this day extra special. WE LOVE YOU SAVANNAH!

Sweet Kymbal

This is Kymbal in her one hundred's day hat! It is a hat that they make for the one hundreth day of school. All the kids get a hat made of newspaper and they all go home and decorate it with one hundred things. Kymbal chose pipe cleaners. Flower shaped pipe cleaners. (My fingers were so sore by the time we got them all on the hat)
But the real reason I am writing today is I wanted to share how cute and sweet my stinker girl has become. Today after a long walk to pass out fliers, Kymbal came home and sat down to watch some cartoons. I came in and told her that I had to go pick up the kids from school. She sat there for a minute and then said "Hey mom what is my ask mom today?" I gave her a few options and headed out the door. I was outside for just a couple of minutes getting ready to go when I realized I forgot a bag that I needed. So I ran back in side to get it to find Kymbal already half way done with her ask mom. She had chosen the hardest one and was working diligently to finish before I got home. She also helped me make our dinner tonight with out any complaining. She is so SWEET!
"When we're helping were Happy!"

Kymbal's Birthday! (a month and a half late)

Grandma Becky came down early for Kymbal's birthday to help with her birthday cake. It is a good thing cause by the time I got the barbie in the cake I'd had enough. The cake took for ever to bake in the silver bowl, then it was way to short for the barbie. So I made another round cake but it was still to short. So I cut a hole in the box that it was sitting on and tried to push her legs through but they kept popping out the bottom of the dress. annoying, but it was worth it to see the look on Kymbal's face when we pulled it out to frost it. She had a fun birthday and I am sure she will always remember decorating her cake with Grandma!
